Volunteernearme 3.0
Sep 27, 2026The largest update so far, and mostly about making the app quicker to move around. Navigation has been rebuilt top and bottom, so search and the page you are on are always in reach and you can go back from anywhere instead of starting again from home. The home page is calmer on a phone, and now gathers your recent volunteering, your badges and what is coming up in one place. Posting an opportunity works properly from a group at last, picking the right one for you, and you can add a team channel to something you have already posted. Channels have been cut back to the parts groups actually use, bookings are easier to find, and the map and its panels finally behave on a small screen. The phone apps gain an activity recorder that times a session and maps your route as you volunteer. Alongside that: a new logo, rewritten guides and FAQs, refreshed policies, sign-in messages that say what actually went wrong, notifications that stay in order and clear when read, and a setting letting groups choose whether to show their member count.

Policy Updates for Channels Feature
Sep 27, 2025Updated the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines & User Agreement, and Terms of Service to support the new Channels feature. These changes cover the handling of new data types like availability forms, task assignments, and emergency contact information, ensuring transparency and compliance with data protection standards.
Channels: The ultimate management tool
Sep 27, 2025Added channels as an optional creation for each opportunity. Channels are the place where you can closely manage your team of volunteers in their own dedicated portal. Choose from multiple ways to admit members, including your own custom criteria. In the channel itself: make announcements, create channel only bookings/events or even a sophisticated rota and scheduling system. Have users sign up or admins appoint members. Gain information on members availability with member optional availability forms. Set tasks for specific members to do. Upload documents for members to read or sign. Collect members emergency information in case it is needed (stored securely with strict firewall settings). All integrated into the platform as a whole, with events and schedules merging with the existing calendar and announcements posted through the notification system.

Created an improved uploading process with options to allow booking through the platform for chosen dates. Added a personal calendar. Integrated new booking system with activity logger and administrative activity management tools to implement a verfied hours system for users to show on their profile. Added analytics for organsations and opportunities.
